Tamworth 2015

As has become custom, Graham's six shows were held at the Tamworth Community Centre.

 

 

Some highlights from this year’s festival.

 

Awards taken out by Graham at this year’s festival were:-

 

v Brumby Award for “REACH OUT” a duet with Catherine Britt.

v People’s Choice Awards for “Best Male Vocal” and “Best Album”.

v Australian Bush Laureate Award for Traditional Song Lyric of the Year

for the words of “He‘s Droving Once Again”.

v Graham was also a finalist in the Golden Guitars Awards for Traditional Bush Ballad
with “He’s Droving Once Again”.

Many of the tracks from “Dust and Leather” reached awards finals, not only at Tamworth, but at festivals like Gidgee Coals and Bungendore.  The most successful of the tracks is “He’s Droving Once Again”.

 

This is a photo of “Stuart Benson”, a retired drover from Blackall in outback Queensland who was Graham's inspiration in writing such an incredible ballad.
