Like clockwork, bush balladeer and Australian storyteller GRAHAM RODGER has released his fourth CD in four years. As usual, he has produced a package chock full of captivating tracks. The title track "Thunderbolt" is an exciting story of one of Australia's bushranging legends. "Anywhere I Hang My Hat" is a spritely song of a wandering soul. "Woman On The Land" is dedicated to our hardworking country women. "Sequel To The Old Landcruiser" tells of the luxury of the new SUV compared to the old workhouse. "There's A Hole In The Mozzie Net" (written with Dierdre Willmington) is an amusing tale of the nasty little blighters. "The Obi Obi" is a lovely song of an enchanting mountain creek. Every song on this album is a snapshot of Australia. With his solid dedication to producing superb stories in song, Graham should be embraced as the worthy successor to the title left vacant by the loss of SLIM DUSTY.
